Cases of data recovery
We introduce sample data recovery examples. We have succeeded in various data recovery cases thanks to our expert knowledge and technology.
Trouble when booting up Windows |
Condition |
Notebook PC with Windows XP Home. Booting up was taking longer time since a few days previously. After the Windows logo was displayed, the PC halted displaying a blue screen, and then black. This happened repeatedly. |
Result of initial diagnosis |
Logical failure |
External HD (hard disk) is not recognized |
Condition |
While copying Windows XP data to an external HD (hard disk) [USB connection], the HD was suddenly not recognized. Restarting the PC did not resolve the problem. When the user consulted the HDD manufacturer, he was told that it was a physical failure. |
Result of initial diagnosis |
Physical failure |
Executed recovery due to HDD malfunction |

Result of initial diagnosis |
Logical failure |
Malfunction of external HD due to high temperature (heat) |
Condition |
Over 600GB data (design related images) were stored in an external HD [IEEE1394 / USB connection]. The OS was Mac OSX. As the access was slowing down, the user checked the HD and found that it had become very hot. The user switched off the PC to allow the HD to cool down, then switched it back on again, but the HD was no longer recognized. |
Result of initial diagnosis |
Physical failure |

Result of initial diagnosis |

A 3.5 inch MO disk could not be mounted when inserted into a 640MB drive. Data designed with a Macintosh were contained on the disk. Other media were mountable, meaning it was not a drive problem. |
Data disappeared during a backup operation error |
Condition |
As the HD capacity became full, the user tried to backup the data to CD-R using writing software. During that time, an error occurred and part of the data in the HD disappeared. |
Data disappeared after the media was taken out of drive during printing |
Condition |
